Back-to-School Kick-Off!
Tuesday • September 10 8:30AM - 1:30PM • Emeritus Campus
Stop in and join us as we launch our 50th anniversary. Students will be welcomed back to SMC’s Emeritus campus with complimentary breakfast refreshments and lunch provided, in celebration of 50 years of lifelong learning.

SMC Emeritus students will set off on six (6) separate SMC campus field trips including Malibu, Center for Media & Design, Performing Arts Center, Early Childhood Lab School, Bundy Campus and the Main Campus (one campus per trip). Complimentary bus transportation and a light lunch will be provided for currently enrolled SMC Emeritus students.

Stromberg Living History Series

The Harvey Stromberg Living History Series captures the distinguished stories of some Emeritus icons. This project, captured by SMC media production students will be shown in a theater setting on one of SMC‘s campuses. Dessert reception to follow.
Fifty-Over-50
Date/Time: October 21-24, 2024 • Emeritus Campus
SMC photography students will capture the images of Emeritus students. An on-site photo studio will serve as the easy location to capture our lifelong learners. These images will be on display at future celebration events.
Grand Finale: A Season of Celebrating Emeritus & Lifelong Learning
Wednesday, May 21, 2025 • 4-7PM • Main Campus
50 years of SMC Emeritus programs will culminate on Santa Monica College’s main campus with a grand celebration of lifelong learning. More information to follow.
