SMC helping the greater Los Angeles community

During Santa Monica College Foundation’s Food & Clothing distribution, we served more than 4,000 students and community members who shopped for clothing using the iconic blue bags donated by Ikea, and more than 3,500 who received groceries and toiletries. More than 55 pallets of food and over 800 cases of water were distributed to those in need. Through our partnership with World Central Kitchen, 14,563 hot meals were served from Maravilla Latin Cuisine, Kogi’s BBQ, The Falafel Factory and Lola’s Mexican Cuisine food trucks.

We could not have accomplished this without the support of our fantastic volunteers and partner organizations. We had 3,625 amazing volunteers participate over 13 days of service to help collect, sort, organize, and distribute. We are grateful for each and every one of you!

We still need your help. Donate to support SMC students and employees who have been impacted by the fires.
