Kelley Brayton Global Citizen Leadership Award

For 10 years, Kelley Brayton led Santa Monica College’s Global Citizenship initiative while simultaneously internationalizing the campus community through increased international student enrollment, a comprehensive and inclusive study abroad program and global minded events and programs that enriched the SMC community. In recognition of these efforts, Santa Monica College received two prestigious national awards—the Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA Association of International Educators and the 2017 Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education from the Institute of International Education. In celebration of these achievements and in honor of the recognition the College has received for these efforts, the Brayton family introduces the Kelley Brayton Global Citizen Leadership Award. This scholarship will be for SMC students who demonstrate global citizenship through campus leadership and service.
